Germany is facing a critical shortage of skilled workers, and the German government has responded by making it easier for qualified professionals from countries like Pakistan to enter and work in Germany through the Jobseeker Visa.

What is the Germany Jobseeker Visa?

The Jobseeker Visa (Arbeitsuchende-Visum) allows qualified professionals to enter Germany for up to 6 months to search for employment. Unlike a work visa, you don't need a job offer before arriving — you get to network, attend interviews, and explore the German job market in person.

Who Qualifies?

To be eligible for the Germany Jobseeker Visa, you must:

  • Hold a university degree that is recognized or recognizable in Germany
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrate sufficient German or English language skills
  • Show proof of funds of at least €2,919 (3 months minimum wage)
  • Have health insurance for your stay
  • In-Demand Sectors in Germany

  • **IT & Software**: Developers, data scientists, cybersecurity specialists
  • **Engineering**: Mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical engineers
  • **Healthcare**: Doctors, nurses, medical technicians
  • **Finance & Banking**: Accountants, financial analysts
  • **Skilled Trades**: Electricians, plumbers, construction workers
  • Converting to a Work Visa

Once you find a job, you can convert your Jobseeker Visa to a work permit without leaving Germany. The process typically takes 4–8 weeks.

Beyond Blue has helped numerous Pakistani professionals successfully apply for Germany Jobseeker Visas and secure employment. Let us help you too.
